A little about me
I have over 25 years experience working with youth and their families as a family life coach, marriage and family therapist, parent educator, administrator and faculty member, and Mom/Wife/Daughter/Friend.
I have served hundreds of families and have lead numerous research projects focusing on curriculum and program development all related to help people thrive. I have a passion for helping creating systems of support for women and children and ground my work in evidence and family science best practices, feminist theory, and inclusive, trauma informed pedagogy. I have presented talks here and abroad on the topics of parenting, family life coaching, learning, and interpersonal relationships. I have been a leader in academics, I am the Co-Owner of Sweet Gestalt, LLC and Co-Founder of the Family Life Coaching Association\
I have had the great fortune at presenting talks to thousands of people abroad and across the US. I’ve given over 200 national and international talks, appeared on WRAL, ABC, NBC, Huffington Post and Spectrum News. I have written over 30 peer review publications, 14 curricula on family life, countless blogs, and two books (plus one more on the way).
